Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Caries active Patients with at least three active dentin carious lesions 2. caries-free subjects must have been free of carious lesions for a period of at least 2 years displaying a DMFT less than or equal to 3. 3.Diabetic patients Hba1c greater than or equal to 7.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Systemic disease except diabetes 2.History of antibiotics / anti-inflammatory drug within preceding two weeks prior to the study 3.History of fluoride treatment within preceding month prior to the study
