Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Study subjects aged between 6 to 21 years, who will be subjected to CBCT examination. Subjects with no congenital or developmental defects in the mandible. Subjects with no history of trauma or fracture to the mandible. Minimal to no periapical infection or root resorption in the teeth. Those who will give consent for the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: CBCT scans including only the maxillary and mandibular arches. Scans with artifacts that will prevent visualizing of the mandibular canal. Scans with inadequate visibility due to artifacts caused by patient motion or metallic objects. Scans of patients with a history of trauma, injuries to the lower teeth, orthognathic surgery, or reconstruction of the posterior mandible will be excluded. Repeated CBCT scans on the same patients will be excluded from the study.
