Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients aged between 18 to 50 years with active acne willing to undergo laboratory testing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients on oral and topical steroids, previous treatment with oral retinoids, hormonal treatment for any reason in the previous three months, history of cigarette smoking, diabetes mellitus, known case of hypertension, psoriasis, polycystic ovarian disease, women with menstrual irregularities, known hormonal dysregulations or any other known metabolic disorders.
