Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Group 1 (Non - Obese T2DM): Newly diagnosed T2DM patients with BMI of less than 25 kg/m2. 2. Group 2 (Obese T2DM): Newly diagnosed T2DM patients with BMI of more than or equal to 25 kg/m2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of chronic disorders such as renal & hepatic insufficiency and cancer. 2. Intake of metformin and topiramate or bariatric surgery.
