Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence estimates of anemia in the study population. Identification of high-risk groups (e.g., underweight students, poor dietary habits). Gaps in awareness about AMB and actionable recommendations for campus interventions. Timepoint: single time point

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcomes of this study include assessing the association between anemia status and Body Mass Index (BMI) by correlating hemoglobin levels with anthropometric measurements taken at enrollment. Another key outcome is the evaluation of dietary habits and their relationship with anemia, using a structured questionnaire focusing on the intake of iron- and folic acid-rich foods, meal frequency, and supplementation practices. Additionally, the study aims to explore participants awareness and perceptions regarding the Anemia Mukt Bharat (AMB) program through both quantitative surveys and qualitative insights. Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) will further help identify barriers to anemia prevention and engagement with AMB activities. These qualitative data will be analyzed thematically using ATLAS.ti to provide contextual understanding of behavioral and informational gaps in anemia control efforts among university students.Timepoint: Single time point at the time of enrollment (Day 0)
