Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Antibiotics therapy will be proposed on basis of PCR results will be compared with the empirical therapy already delivered to the patients Timepoint: At the time of admission only

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. number of de-esclation (defined as discontinuation of any companion drug and/or switch of the pivotal drug to a narrow spectrum antibiotics) of the antibiotics regimen based on PCR results. 2. Number of episodes in which PCR guided therapy will be effective on pathogens isolated at significant threshold on cultures. Timepoint: Modification of antimicrobials after receiving PCR report on day 1 & culture report from day 3-5 as soon as positive
