Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy subjects aged 18-60 years suffering from chronic periodontitis. Minimum 16 teeth to be present in every subject . Subjects with a minimum of 1 site per quadrant with a pocket depth 6 mm. Patients who have not taken any antibiotics for the past 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with the habit of smoking ,alcohol consumption Pregnant and lactating mothers Female subjects who use of hormonal contraceptives. Patients with partial dentures or fixed prosthodontic appliances. Systemic disease that could influence the outcome or progression of periodontal therapy.
