| To measure anxiety levels and pain intensity preoperatively and postoperatively, the VAS is used, with ranges from 0 (No Pain), 1-3 (Mild Pain), 4-6 (Moderate Pain), 7-9 (Severe Pain), 10 (worst possible pain). The total amount of pain medication (opioids & non-opioids) used postoperatively is an indicator of the effectiveness of the preoperative pain management strategy. It also helps in evaluating how soon patients can safely be discharged from hospital. Additionally, it also includes questions about overall satisfaction with pain management, comfort, and quality of care.
