Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients and visitors to Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Karnataka, India and associated outreach centers and are of South India Ethnic Origin defined as those born in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala who consider the local state language as their first language. And also who can read and write either Kannada or English. Genders of both sex will be included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Extensive facial vitiligo or albinism. Children below 18 years of age. Those not providing consent

MeasureTime frame
This study will help us comprehend the measurement errors of infrared skin thermometers and tympanic infrared thermometers when compared to gold-standard sublingual temperature readings.Timepoint: It is a one time crosssectional survey. We are palnning to recruit 20 individuals/day for 250 days over a one-year period. No power calculation is provided as this is a feasibility study.

To assess the variability in temperature measurements across different devices (temporal, tympanic, and sublingual) within the South Indian population, including any factors that may influence this variability (e.g., ambient temperature, skin pigmentation).Timepoint: It is a one time crosssectional survey.
