Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All singleton pregnant women older than 18 years, within their first trimester of pregnancy (by the end of the 14th week of their gestational age)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women with pre-existing type I or II Diabetes mellitus

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To perform DIPSI, C peptide, insulin and HbA1C in first trimester and assess and compare its predictive efficacy in detecting gestational diabetes mellitus.Timepoint: within 14 wks and 24 - 28 wks

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To know the neonatal outcome (birth weight, blood sugar level at 1 hr ) in relation with first trimester C peptide, insulin and HbA1C value.Timepoint: Preliminary Action 02 months Data Collection 20 months Analysis & Write up 02 months Total Time 24 months
