Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with advanced/metastatic cancers Admitted to respite care facility for at least 3 days or more.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Incomplete medical records of patients who are admitted under Respite Palliative Care Unit during study period

Changes in physical, emotional, well-being, and total ESAS-r scoresTimepoint: from the time of admission and time of discharge

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary: Duration of stay in days, as mentioned in the departmental records. Reason for admission at respite palliative care unit as documented in the register/EMR Documentation of physical, psychological, social & financial intervention done during respite palliative care unit admission as documented in the register/EMR Change in performance status at admission & discharge Documentation of the discharge outcome including referral to hospice or hospital or home or death or readmission as mentioned in register/EMR Difference in outcome between patients who are on disease-directed treatment & those who are only on best supportive care.
