Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients in the age group of 18-30 years. 2. Patients with bimaxillary protrusion having minimal crowding or crowding less than 3mm and requiring 1st premolar extraction with absolute anchorage. 3. Patients with average growth pattern. 4. Systemically healthy patients. 5. Patients with healthy periodontium with generalized probing depth of 3 mm(Williams Probe) and no radiographic bone loss.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who had taken NSAIDs or opioids within a month before the study. 2. Patients with poor oral hygiene (Gingival index scores less than 1) and periodontal disease were excluded from this study. 3. Patients with systemic illnesses, syndromes, oral lesions, bony disease or pathologies. 4. Patients with grade I,II,III mobility. 5. Patients with dental implants. 6. Patients with horizontal and vertical growth pattern. 7. Patients with hyperactive mentalis muscle. 8. Patients with oral habits.
