Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Systemically healthy subjects, both male and female of age group-18 - 65 years. 2.Gingival margin coronal to or at the level of the entrance of the furcation. 3.Subjects with radiographic evidence of furcation defects in opposite teeth. 4.Grade II Furcation defects with a minimum of 3mm horizontal probing depth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Subjects with complicated medical history. 2.Pregnant or lactating subjects. 3.Subjects with history of use of antibiotics or anti - inflammatory drugs in the last 6 months. 4.Subjects who had undergone periodontal surgery at that site. 5.Subjects with untreated non vital teeth.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.Vertical and Horizontal Probing depth in furcation area. 2.Furcation Defect width and height will be assessed by using intraoral periapical radiograph (IOPAR). Timepoint: Baseline, at 3 months and at 6 months.
