Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Quantification of the microvascular injury markers such as syndecan-1, heparan sulfate, matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), glypican-1, ICAM, sVCAM in the phases of early brain injury (EBI) and delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) and their correlation with the occurrence of DCI and cerebral vasospasmTimepoint: Day_0, Day_2, Day_4, Day_7

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of syndecan-1 and HS with MMP in both phases of EBI and DCITimepoint: Day_0, Day_2, Day_4, Day_7;To correlate the syndecan-1, heparan sulfate with the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) grade and modified Fisher grade at presentationTimepoint: Day_0;To study the correlation of the plasma levels of syndecan-1, HS at admission and day-7 with the Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) at 3 months following aSAH.Timepoint: Day_0, Day_7
