Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 18 to 50 years of age Length of ICU stay more than 24 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having acute coronary syndrome Patients with acute burn injuries Patients with terminal cancers Patients on mechanical ventilation after elective surgery

Outcome measure of combination of Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score with Procalcitonin and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score alone for prediction of mortality within 15 days since the time of admission of critically sick patients in ICUTimepoint: Evaluation at 0 hours followed by every 24 hourly upto 3 days followed by every 48 hours upto day 15
