Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients diagnosed with dense cataracts where optical biometry is difficult or not feasible preoperatively. 2.Age 40 years and above, scheduled for cataract surgery. 3.Patients with axial length from 20mm to 25mm. 4.Consent provided for participation in the study and follow-up on post-operative day 7

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Corneal opacities, scars, or abnormalities that interfere with axial length measurement. 2.Posterior segment pathology (e.g., retinal detachment, posterior staphyloma, vitreous opacities) affecting axial length interpretation. 3.History of prior ocular surgery in the study eye (e.g., refractive surgery, vitrectomy, silicon iol). 4.Uncooperative patients or those unable to maintain fixation during measurements. 5.Intraoperative complications that may alter optical media clarity (e.g., excessive anterior chamber inflammation).
