Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient age group ranging between 18 and 70 years Both males and females diagnosed with alveolar osteitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are allergic to ZOE and/or to other medications prescribed in the study Patients below the age of 18 years and above the age of 70 years Pregnant patients Medically compromised patients, for example, diabetes in which healing is delayed Patients having fractured root or foreign body in the dry socket.

Complications such as delayed healing, abscess, osteomyelitis, space infections, & foreign body reactions are noted. Sockets that remained unhealed even after the 10th day are considered to be delayed healing.Timepoint: 4 weeks	—
