Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Phase 1A Parasocial Relationship(PSR) Checklist Validation by Experts: 1 Mental health professionals with experience in the area of behavioral addiction/parasocial relationships who have been working in the field for a minimum of the last 3 years 2 Indian citizenship Phase 1B Focus Group Discussions: 1 PSR with human or human-like media figures 2 Young adults in the age group of 18-29 years who obtain at least a score of 1 on the Parasocial Relationships Checklist 3 Indian citizenship Phase 2: 1 PSR with human or human-like media figures 2 Young adults in the age group of 18 29 years who obtain at least a score of 1 on the Parasocial Relationships Checklist
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Phase 1A PSR Checklist Validation by Experts: 1 Mental health professionals working outside India Phase 1B Focus Group Discussions: 1 Young adults scoring above 24 on the K10, indicative of moderate or severe mental illness 2 Individuals who have PSRs with figures in print media 3 Individuals who have PSRs based on gaming and virtual reality 4 Individuals who have PSRs with politicians 5 Individuals who have PSRs with podcast hosts who are not available on any other social media platform 6 Individuals who PSRs with media figures on radio Phase 2: 1 Young adults scoring above 24 on the K10, indicative of moderate or severe mental illness 2 Individuals who have PSRs with figures in print media 3 Individuals who have PSRs based on gaming and virtual reality 4 Individuals who have PSRs with politicians 5 Individuals who have PSRs with podcast hosts who are not available on any other social media platform 6 Individuals who PSRs with media figures on radio
