Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: for healthy individuals- criteria for controls: Non-grahani individuals who are willing to participate in the study. for patients :-1. Patients having classical signs and symptoms of Grahani Dushti (without any systemic illness) as mentioned in the criteria for selection of patients. 2. Patients presenting at least three symptoms mandatorily, including (1) Arochaka (loss of appetite) and (2) any one from Praseka/ Hrillasa/ Chardi (Nausea/Vomiting/ excessive salivation) (3) Symptom of at least Aniyatakalina Purisha Pravritti (irregular bowel movements) from the criteria related Purisha. 8 3. Patients of Grahani Dushti with chronicity of disease less than 1 year.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below the age of 18 years and above 50 years. 2. Patients who are suffering from other forms of abdominal disorders such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn s disease, gastric ulcer.

Present observational study will be helpful for finding out whether habit of Adhyashana has any association with Grahani Dushti through which social awareness can be generated in society as well as a physician can advise the same to the patients as a preventive aspect.Timepoint: Baseline and after 2 years
