Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA grade 1 and 2 . Elective upper abdominal surgeries .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known allergy to local anaesthetics. Infection at injection site. Patients undergoing chronic analgesia therapy. Laparoscopic surgeries. Patients with BMI more than 30.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Total 24 hour injection tramadol consumptionTimepoint: 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours after intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Time to first rescue analgesia postoperatively. Patient satisfaction based on Likert scale (0-5).Timepoint: 24 hours after intervention.
