Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy patients in the age group of 20 to50 year. Presence of clinical and radiographic Grade II buccal furcation defects. Patients who were diagnosed with buccal degree II furcation defects as their mandibular first and second molars with a vertical probing depth (PPD) greater than or equal to 5 mm and intraoral periapical radiographs showing radiolucency in the furcation areas of the above teeth were included. Participants who agreed to participate and signed an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Antimicrobial medications or antibiotic mouth rinses taken in past 3 months prior to study. Has undergone any periodontal surgery in the past 3 months. Medication that would induce gingival enlargement, immunosuppressants. Pregnant women / Lactating mothers. Smokers & Tobacco chewers

MeasureTime frame
Although both materials groups aid to bone regeneration and periodontal healing,a statistically and clinically significant difference in the gain of Relative Clinical Attachment Level (RCAL), reduction in Vertical and Horizontal Probing Depths (VPD and HPD), and radiographic bone fill between the DFDBA + chorion membrane group and the DFDBA + collagen membrane group at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months post-surgery in Grade II furcation defects is expected.Timepoint: Follow up at baseline,3 months and 6 months

MeasureTime frame
A measurable and statistically significant difference in clinical parameters Gingival Index (GI), Plaque Index (PI), Periodontal Probing Depth (PPD), and Relative Clinical Attachment Level (RCAL) from baseline to 3 and 6 months post-surgery, indicating the effectiveness of the treatment modalities under evaluation. Timepoint: Follow up at baseline,3 months and 6 months
