Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients diagnosed with oral cancer (histopathologically confirmed) - Age between 18 to 80 years - Patients undergoing biopsy or surgical procedures from which oral cancer tissue samples can be obtained - Willing to provide informed consent for the use of their excised tissue for research purposes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients with serious systemic illness or infections that may affect tissue integrity - Patients who have undergone chemotherapy or radiotherapy within the last 3 months - Inability or unwillingness to provide informed consent - Poor tissue quality or necrotic samples unsuitable for imaging analysis

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Development and validation of a multimodal nonlinear optical imaging system for label-free diagnosis of oral cancer tissue.Timepoint: At baseline (i.e., at the time of tissue imaging and histopathological assessment)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of machine learning model accuracy for cancer tissue classification based on imaging features.Timepoint: At baseline (i.e., immediately after image acquisition & initial model evaluation);Correlation of imaging-based findings with histopathological reports.Timepoint: At baseline (i.e., following histopathological analysis of imaged tissue samples)
