Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals undergoing orthodontic treatment, Cases with full dentition present till second molar

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -The use of antimicrobials and mouthwash in the past three months -Presence of any other removable prosthesis -Patients with poor periodontal conditions and systemic disorders -Patients not willing to participate in the study

The primary outcome of the study is that patients undergoing oil pulling will show decrease in colonies in microbiological evaluationTimepoint: Microbiological evaluation will be done at baseline, 2 weeks, 3 weeks

The secondary outcome of the study is the knowledge about acceptability of oil pulling in patientsTimepoint: the acceptability will be assessed at the end of the study - 3 weeks from baseline
