Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged 3 to 12 years with diagnostic features of Atopic dermatitis and physical signs of skin infection

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Receipt of any antibiotics or steroids in the previous seven days 2. Children with ongoing medication for any other disease.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be Skin Infection Rating Scale. Clinical success is when SIRS score is zero each for pus, crust and pain and 0/1 each for erythema and itching. Clinical failure is a SIRS score of 1 for pusTimepoint: 1,7,14,28 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Severity Scoring of Atopic Dermatitis index (SCORAD). The minimum clinically important difference is about 8.6 points. It will be assessed on days 1, 7, 14 and 28. ? Patient Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM) score. POEM measures subjective eczema severity over the previous week and results in a score from 0 to 72, with higher scores representing more severe eczema severity. The minimum clinically important difference for POEM is about 3. As POEM it is a weekly assessment score, it will be assessed on days1, 7, 14 and 28. ? Preliminary arbitrary grading system of dosha assessment in Kushta (integumentary diseases) based on Ayurveda fundamental principles on days 1, 7 ,14 and 28. Timepoint: 1,7,14,28 days
