Intervention1: Open Flap Debridement with laser biostimulation: Laser biostimulation as an adjunct to flap surgery in chronic periodontitis patients. Follow up duration: 6 months Control Intervention1

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with chronic periodontitis as per 2017 AAP classification. Age group 18-50 years of both genders. Probing depth more than or equal to 4mm and less than or equal to 7mm. Presence of at least more than or equal to 20 natural teeth in both upper and lower arches.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Smokers. Pregnant and lactating females. Patients with history of uncontrolled systemic diseases affecting the periodontium. Patients allergic to medications. Those who have received surgical or non-surgical treatment 6 months prior. Those undergoing antibiotic therapy or have had in last 6 months. Post menopausal women. Patient undergoing bisphosphonate therapy. Patients with inflammatory/genetic bone disorders.
