Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Diagnosed cases of Hypothyroidism who have TSH levels on and above normal value (0.5 to 5mlU/l) upto 50mlu/l 2.who have 3 or more than 3 following symptoms of hypothyroidism weight gain ,cold intolerence ,Dry and coarse skin ,Puffiness ,constipation ,hairfall

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.pregnancy, lactating mother 2. 3. Patients having associated disease as ischemic heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, known case of MI , cerebrovascular events, cardiac arrhythmias, malignancy , hyperthyroidism ,pituitary disorders ,congenital endocrine disorders 3.Known cases of Major systemic diseases such as TB , AIDS ,HIV ,IHD ,CA ,Renal and Cerebral diseases, Thyroid Ca, Partial thyroidectomy and other Endocrinal major diseases, Morbidly obese

1)To evaluate add -on effect of kanchanar shunthi vati with thyroxine for relieving symptoms given for 60 days in the management of hypothyroidism. 2)-To observe and compare adverse effect in 2 groups within 60 days.Timepoint: 60 days study follow up at 15th,30th,45th,60th day
