Intervention1: Withania somnifera gel: Withania somnifera gel will be used for treatment of Stage III, Grade-B or C chronic periodontitis patients, twice daily. Duration of treatment will be 7 days. I

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient with Stage 3 grade B or grade C chronic periodontitis. 2. Clinical attachment level less than or equal to 5 mm and probing pocket depth less than or equal to 4 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with any systemic disease like diabetes that can alter the course of periodontal disease progression and treatment. 2. Past periodontal therapy within 6 months. 3. Patients on systemic antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs for the past 3 months. 4. Usage of any other topical gels. 5. Patients allergic to Triphala or ashwagandha. 6. Pregnant or Lactating women.
