Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Paediatric patients aged less than 18 years NICU subgroup: neonates less than 28 days of life Exposure to one or more known nephrotoxic drugs Informed written consent obtained from parent/guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: known case of pre-existing renal disease Azotemia at presentation. Known history of chronic kidney disease or congenital renal anomalies Previous renal transplant or dialysis Incomplete drug administration or creatinine monitoring data Parental refusal to consent

To study the incidence of drug induced AKI in hospitalised paediatric patients Timepoint: 30 months

MeasureTime frame
Incidence and staging of AKI as per KDIGO 2012 guidelines Time to rise in serum creatinine postdrug initiation Correlation between patient-related variables eg age, illness severity) and renal outcomes Timepoint: 30 months
