Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18-75 years with a confirmed diagnosis of GBS admitted in ICU. 2. Informed consent obtained from patients or their legal representatives.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Conditions causing sarcopenia independent of critical illness (e.g., advanced chronic kidney disease, liver disease).

MeasureTime frame
1.To study the incidence and severity of sarcopenia in GBS patients using Body composition analysis Timepoint: day0,7,14 or discharge

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
2. To predict the incidence and severity of sarcopenia in GBS patients using ultrasound, markers of autonomic function and biochemical biomarkers. Timepoint: day0,7,14 or discharge
