Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Normal, healthy and co-operative children with dental caries 2. Children who did not take antibiotics in the past month 3. Children who did not use hormones or immunity inhibitors in the last half a year

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children without any known systemic diseases 2.Children requiring special health care needs 3. Parents and/or children who are not willing to participate

1.To estimate serum levels of vitamin D in children with dental caries. 2.To estimate the serum levels of iron in children with dental caries. 3.To estimate the dental caries experience among these children. 4.To determine corelation between dental caries, vitamin D and iron in children with dental caries. Timepoint: At the baseline of the study only
