Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing elective abdominal surgeries under general anesthesia. 2. ASA grade 1, 2 and 3. 3. Patients who have given written and informed consent. 4. Patients with no known preexisting pulmonary infection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgery 2. ASA grade 4 and above 3. Patient with incapacity to consent 4. Anticipated difficult intubation 5. Patient with preexisting chest infection 6. Patient with severe neuromuscular disease 7. History suggestive of hypersensitivity to drugs used in the study
