Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A) Patients willing to participate in the trial B) Patients between the age group 20 - 70 years C) Patients suffering from stage - 1 hypertension (according to jnc 7) D) Patients suffering from isolated systolic hypertension ( that is systolic blood pressure greater than 140 mm hg and diastolic blood pressure less than 90 mm hg

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A)Patients not willing for the trial B)Patients age less than 20 years and grater than 70 years C)Patients suffering from stage-II hypertension that is systolic greater than equal to 160 mm hg and diastolic greater than equal to 100 mm hg D) Patients suffering from Secondary Hypertension E) Patients suffering from any severe illness and Thyroid Dysfunction F) Any other condition which the principal investigator throught may jeopardize the study G) Patients who had any metabolic and endocrine disorders
