Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients posted for Isolated elective Coronary artery bypass grafting surgery 2. Preoperatively, patients are in normal sinus rhythm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with preoperative atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias 2. History of recent Myocardial infarction less than 30 days 3. Patients with active inflammatory or infectious diseases 4. Preoperative renal failure with creatinine more than 1.5 mg per dl 5. History of neoplasm and COPD

Correlation between Left Atrial (LA) deformation parameters [Peak Atrial Longitudinal Strain (PALS) & Peak Atrial Contraction Strain (PACS)] and postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF) in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)Timepoint: Up to 7 days post-surgery or until discharge, whichever is earlier

Correlation of LA deformation parameters (PALS & PACS) with the presence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus in patients undergoing CABGTimepoint: Preoperative data and intraoperative assessment;Comparison of demographic, clinical, and intraoperative variables (e.g., CPB time, AXC time) in patients with and without POAFTimepoint: Intraoperative period and up to 7 days post-surgery;Correlation of LA strain parameters with Doppler parameters and LV Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS)Timepoint: Preoperative transthoracic echocardiography;Correlation between LA deformation & early postoperative complications, including: 1.Acute kidney injury (AKIN criteria) 2.Sepsis (TLC, procalcitonin) 3.Stroke/neurocognitive dysfunction (GCS, MoCA) 4.Low cardiac output (VIS) 5.Prolonged mechanical ventilation/NIV requirement 6.Prolonged ICU stay 7.ICU mortalityTimepoint: Within 7 days postoperative period or ICU stay duration
