Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Adult leukemia patients more than or equal to 18 years of age with anemia who will require packed red blood cell transfusions and who consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.All Pediatric leukemia Patients, pregnant or nursing women, terminally ill patients. 2.Patients with active Bleeding episodes WHO Grade more than 2. 3.Patients receiving PRBC transfusion in Intensive Care Unit and Operation theatre. 4.Patients receiving transfusion of other blood components during the same transfusion episode. 5.Patients with ABO or Antibody discrepancy. 6.DAT positive patients
