Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status grade I & II patients,undergoing prone position craniotomy with expected duration of surgery up to 4 to 7hrs, at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh will be enrolled in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: obese patients patients who refuse to consent for the surgery. patients with significant cardiac, respiratory , renal & liver disorders. patients with haemoglobinopathies. patients with more than 3 attempts for intubation. patients with massive blood loss-more than 50% in 3 hours patients with prone position more than 7 hours

To study the effect of intraoperative goal directed fluid administration on the various upper airway structures thickness using ultrasound in patients undergoing craniotomy in prone position with duration of prone position more than 4 hours to less than 7 hours.Timepoint: T1-Baseline T2-Post intubation T3-At end of surgery, when patient is positioned supine
