Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a laboratory report indicating a total cholesterol level greater than 240 mg/dL. 2. Patients of either sex, aged between 20 years to 70 years. Based on triaging, eligible patients were either admitted to the Government District Headquarters Hospital, Aruppukottai, or advised home quarantine as appropriate. 3. Patients of both sexes who are willing to provide informed consent and accept either Siddha or standard conventional treatment modalities.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients below 20 years of age and above 70 years. 2. Patients with total cholesterol levels less than 240 mg/dL. 3. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 4. Patients diagnosed with other systemic or malignant diseases (e.g., cancer, severe mental illness). 5. Patients deemed unsuitable for participation in the study by the investigators, based on clinical judgment. 6. Patients who were discharged against medical advice (DAMA). 7. Patients currently enrolled in other clinical trials.
