Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children aged between 6 months to 6years who attend pediatric OPD or casualty or get admitted at BGS GIMS with febrile seizures (simple/complex/recurrence)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Afebrile seizures 2. Hypoglycaemia at admission 3. Suspected CNS infections 4. Developmental delay 5. History of birth asphyxia 6. Known structural CNS abnormalities 7. Febrile illness due to CSOM/ASOM 8. Suspected underlying occult spinal dysraphism 9. Patients who have not given consent.

To determine serum total and ionized Calcium in children aged 6 months to 6 years with febrile seizures and compare simple febrile illness without seizures. Timepoint: 18 months—
