Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the incidence and severity of succinylcholine-induced fasciculations by means of four-point scale between patients receiving pregabalin and those receiving placeboTimepoint: Assessed immediately within one minute after succinylcholine administration | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| postoperative myalgia. To compare the changes in serum potassium levels before and after succinylcholine administration in both groups. c. To assess postoperative pain by means of visual analogue scale(VAS) and analgesic requirements in first 24hrs as additional outcomes influenced by pregabalin. Time to first analgesic demand. Compare perioperative hemodynamic monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation. Ramsay score. Timepoint: myalgia after 24hrs post surgery, potassium levels after 5mins of intubation, postop pain at 0,4,8,12,16,20,24 hours, postop sedation 1st 6 hours, 8th, 12th,18th, and 24th hour.,postop hemodynamic parameters the 1st 6 hours, 8th, 12th,18th, and 24th hour | — |
