Interventions

Intervention1: cold saline: cold saline is used for irrigation at 2.5 degrees celsius Control Intervention1: Normal Saline: Saline at room temperature is used for irrigation

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with type II diabetes mellitus 2. HbA1c less than 6.5 3. Patients with age 30-55yrs 4. Single rooted premolars with asymptomatic apical periodontitis 5. PAI score -2/3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 5. Patients having severe pain and /or apical abscess 6. Patients with non-restorable periodontally compromised teeth 7. Patients with allergy to Local anaesthetic. 8. Teeth with immature roots 9. Teeth with calcified canals

To compare cryotherapy group and control group in terms of postoperative pain using VAS scale. To evaluate the effect of intracanal cryotherapy on postoperative pain in mandibular premolar teeth in diabetic patients. Timepoint: To compare cryotherapy group and control group in terms of postoperative pain using VAS scale. To evaluate the effect of intracanal cryotherapy on postoperative pain in mandibular premolar teeth in diabetic patients every 6h during first day and once daily until the sixth day on following days.	—
