Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Minimum of 10 natural teeth 2)In group 1, no gingival inflammation ( pocket depth less than or equal to 3 mm, clinical attachment loss (CAL) should be 0 mm) 3)In group 2,3 and 4, grade 3 and 4, that is individuals with inflammed gingival tissues with evidence of bleeding, local factors and pocket depth more than or equal to 5mm demonstrating CAL in 30 percentage or more of the teeth sites assessed to be included. 4)In case of group 3 and 4, patients with coronary heart disease and stenotic valves to be included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1)Patients who had undergone periodontal therapy within the previous 6 months. 2)Sarcoidosis patients. 3)Carcinoma patients. 4)Rheumatic arthritis patients. 5)Tuberculosis patients. 6)Immunosuppressive conditions. 7)Patients with other inflammatory diseases except diabetes mellitus.
