Intervention1: Individualised Homoeopathic Medicine: Individualiesd Homoeopathic medicines in varying potency selected based on homoeopathic totality will be administered orally for maximum 14 days. C

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cases fulfilling the working case definition criteria Age group between 6-15 years of age A total cough symptom score of greater than or equal to 3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with positive findings chest x ray Patients either with a present or past history of asthma or other respiratory or cardiac diseases or symptoms of GERD like heartburn, epigastric pain, dysphagia etc. Patients presenting with persistent cough remaining after 7 weeks of primary infection.

MeasureTime frame
Utility of treatment will be evaluated by changes in the Cough Symptom ScoreTimepoint: The Cough Symptom Score will be assessed at baseline,5th day,10th day and end of 14 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the time taken for cough resolution under individualised homoeopathic medicine. It is calculated in days. Cough resolution being the time to the first day when cough completely disappears i.e, if the total cough symptom score is classified as 0 in the two successive days, the previous day should be considered as the first day when cough completely resolved.Timepoint: The Cough Symptom Score will be assessed at baseline,5th day,10th day and end of 14 days
