Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anaesthesiologists Grade 1 and 2 patients Body weight ranging between 50 to 80kg Age group 18 to 60 years Patients undergoing Elective Open Unilateral Inguinal Hernia Repair

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient s Refusal Patients with Puncture site infection Pregnant or lactating patients Patients contraindicated for Spinal Anaesthesia.

MeasureTime frame
The Pain assessment via Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score done immediately in the post-operative period, then every half an hour for the first 2 hours and every hourly for the next 6 hours and every 2 hourly upto 24 hours.Timepoint: 0min 30min 60min 90min 2hr 3hr 4hr 5hr 6hr 7hr 8hr 10hr 12hr 14hr 16hr 18hr 20hr 22hr 24hr

Hemodynamic monitoring (BP,HR) done immediately in the post-operative period, then every half an hour for the first 2 hours and every hourly for the next 6 hours and every 2 hourly upto 24 hours.Timepoint: 0min 30min 60min 90min 2hr 3hr 4hr 5hr 6hr 7hr 8hr 10hr 12hr 14hr 16hr 18hr 20hr 22hr 24hr;the total number of doses of rescue analgesics required for the first 24 hours of post-operative period are noted.Timepoint: 0 to 24 hrs
