Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients belonging to ASA grade I -III Patients of either sex aged 18-60 years undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia with endotracheal tube. Patient able to sit for evaluation of airway.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal Patient belonging to ASA grade more than III Patient with anticipated difficult airway Patient unable to sit for assessment of airway Pregnant patients

MeasureTime frame
To determine the Modified Mallampati grading in supine position and compare it with Cormack Lehane grading.Timepoint: Supine position- Modified Mallampati grading is assesed when patient is shifted onto OT table before inducing anaesthesia. Cormack Lehane grading- assesed after inducing anaesthesia during laryngoscopy.—

To compare Modified Mallampati grading in supine & sitting positionTimepoint: Supine position- Modified Mallampati grading is assesed when patient is shifted onto OT table before inducing anaesthesia.
