Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome of this qualitative study is to explore and understand the perceptions, beliefs, motivations, barriers, and facilitators regarding exercises among hospitalized pregnant women on long-term bed rest. Specifically, it aims to capture participants self-reported perceived benefits, emotional readiness, traditional influences, and self-efficacy in relation to physical activity during pregnancy while hospitalized. Timepoint: Data will be collected at a single time point, during the participant s hospital stay while on bed rest. Each participant will undergo a one-time in-depth interview session, lasting approximately 30 45 minutes. No follow-up sessions are planned, as the nature of the study is cross-sectional and exploratory.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The hospitalized pregnant womens understanding of the benefits & risks associated with exercises during long-term bed rest ; the identification of barriers & facilitators they experience when performing exercises during bed rest ; how cultural & family traditions influence their views on exercise during pregnancy ; their perceived adequacy of the exercise guidance & support received, including thoughts on additional resources ; & their overall physical & emotional experience of being on long-term bed rest, including coping mechanisms. These outcomes will be assessed through a single, in-depth interview with each participant, capturing their reflections & experiences over the duration of their bed rest period up to the interview time.Timepoint: All secondary outcomes will be assessed through a single, in-depth interview with each participant, capturing reflections on their bed rest period up to the interview time.
