Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patient undergoing THA Under GA ASA 1 & 2 Weight 40- 80 kgs BMI 18 TO 30 No history of allrgy to local anaesthetics

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ASA 3,4,5 Pregnant ladies or lactating mother History of allergy to local anaesthetics History of surgery in the inguinal region Patient refusal

to observe for pain at rest and during exercise for 48 hours in the post operative period to observe the post operative opiodid requirement for the first 48 hoursTimepoint: 0,6,12,24,36,48 hours
