Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To compare the incidence of the proper positioning of Laryngeal Mask Airway using two different different techniques in ultrasonography Timepoint: T0-immediately after LMA insertion -for initial assessment of placement T1-Recorded at first ventilation confirmation at 1-2 minutes after insertion T2-Recorded 5 minutes after insertion for evaluating position retention | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| A) To observe the time taken to perform each of the ultrasound techniques after inserting LMA B)To find correlation if any between postoperative sorethroat & hoarseness and different grades of positioning of LMATimepoint: A) T0-Time recorded from from placing the ultrasound probe on the skin to identifying the position of the arytenoids or the cuff tip. B) Postoperative sorethroat & hoarseness if any will be recorded for every 10 minutes upto 1 hour & for every 30 minutes upto 3 hours & every 1 hour for upto 24 hours after removing the laryngeal mask airway & will be correlated with different grades of positioning of LMA | — |
