Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Certified sports players of swimming of any gender, between 15 years to 40 years of age with symptoms of xerosis. Participants who will attend 100% of monitored training sessions during the study and spend at least 2 consecutive hours in the pool to ensure adequate exposure. Written informed consent from the patient.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those having advanced auto-immune disorders, Those taking any medication, or nutritional supplements with intracellular buffers (i.e., beta alanine and creatine) known to have effects on skin, or Those found to be consuming illegal or doping substances etc.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in functional recovery through overall dry skin score (ODS), specified symptom sum score (SRRC System) and dry skin area and severity (DASI) sore in both the arms in six months.Timepoint: 6 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess overall symptomatic relief to patients through mymop2 scale.Timepoint: 6 months.
