Intervention1: Levo-Glutamine: 0.3g/kg/dose orally twice daily for 36 weeks Control Intervention1: Oral Rehydration Solution: 0.3g/kg/dose orally twice daily for 36 weeks

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with sickle cell disease from 5 to 18 years of age.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients of Sickle cell disease and sickle beta thalassemia less than 5 years of age Patients with other mixed hemoglobinopathy with HbS Patients contraindicated with Levo Glutamine
