Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: At least two contralateral molars with probing pocket depth of greater than 5 mm as assessed by Williams periodontal probe. At least two contralateral molars with clinical attachment level greater than or equal to 4 mm. Patients with minimum of two contralateral intrabony defect depth of greater than or equal to 3mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients suffering from known systemic diseases. Patients who are pregnant and lactating. Patients who are smokers and alcoholics. Patients who received any chemotherapeutic mouth rinse during past 6 months. Patients who received surgical or non-surgical therapy in last 6 months. Patients with aggressive periodontitis. Patients who received any antibiotic therapy in the last 6 months. Patients with known drug allergy.
