Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Basal Metabolic Index : 18 kg/m2 - 30 kg/m2. 2.Patients conformed to American Society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) physical status I-II in preoperative assessment. 3.Patient posted for bilateral mandible bone fracture surgeries 4.Patient able to understand VAS regarding assessment of pain 5.Patient able to give written and informed Consent 6.Baseline VAS score greater than or equal to 4

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Inability or refusal to follow study protocol 2. Patients unable to give valid consent, like those with learning difficulties 3. Patients with uncontrolled haemodynamic status (baseline BP above 160/90 mm Hg and baseline HR above 100 per minute) 4. Coagulation abnormalities 5. Allergic reaction to local anaesthetic agents 6. Local infection at site of puncture 7. Patients with facial bone fractures apart from mandible 8.Inferior alveolar nerve injury: numbness over lower lip and chin area 9. Patients with preoperative pain requiring regular pain medications.
